Cynthia Uccello
Cynthia Uccello
Coaching Partner

"Curiosity about people, an openness to their experiences, the fulfillment of a truly collaborative partnership and the joy of seeing clients achieve their goals are the fundamentals that drive my approach to coaching. I believe we all have the resources within us to achieve the goals we set for ourselves yet often we encounter barriers that get in our way. The coach-client partnership can often be the key to unlock the door, enabling us to move our lives in the direction we desire."

Cynthia has a lengthy and varied professional experience, which crosses continents, countries, cultures and languages. Born and raised in the US, Cynthia has been living and working abroad for 15 years in various roles in television/commercial production, advertising and sales & marketing. She worked as an account manager at PepsiCo International looking after a key restaurant customer with operations in 24 countries – an experience that instilled the importance of looking at opportunities and challenges from varying perspectives in order to achieve success. She left this role in 2005 to pursue her desire to work with others in a coaching and/or counseling role to help them in shape the lives they envisaged for themselves. She has been coaching executives (middle management and young talent), graduate students and others going through transitions for the past 2 years.

Cynthia’s academic credentials include a B.A. in Italian Literature and she is currently enrolled in a Master’s in Counselling program. She is a graduate of an accredited Coaching training program and a certified NLP Master Practitioner. She is a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF) and currently working towards the ACC level accreditation. Cynthia speaks English (mother tongue), Italian and French. She currently divides her time between Geneva, Switzerland and Singapore.

Monforte d’Alba, Italy – my husband and I discovered this sleepy little town when we moved to Italy in 1994 and held our wedding celebrations there in 1999 - kind friendly people, great food and wine and beautiful scenery. We visit every few years and are always greeted like family by those whom we’ve met during our visits

Nxabega Okavango Safari Camp in Botswana – beautiful landscape and animals in an isolated location – a favorite despite being threatened by a hippo. It felt like stepping back in time

Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice at Katsu-ya in Los Angeles, CA

Animal Dreams by Barbara Kingsolver

Entertaining friends/family – my husband is a great cook and I am the pastry chef!

Most inspirational book that I have read:
Is This It? by Bob Geldof – I was young and naive and backpacking in Europe, my first time outside the USA. This book started to open my mind to the ideas of being of service to others.
The reason why I became a coach:
To fulfill my desire to be of service to others and help them shape their lives.
My personal secret to happiness is:
To be curious, be joyful and breathe deeply
My greatest challenge to date:
What can I learn from adversity that helps me grow? (ongoing)
My 3 word philosophy on life:
Anything is possible
The best piece of advice I have been given:
No one is in charge of your happiness but you
My proudest moment:
Completing a ½ marathon – I was amazed at what my physical body could achieve with proper training and a positive attitude. I actually enjoyed it!
I couldn't live without:
My morning walks with my dog, Bella. She makes me laugh and reminds me to live in the moment.
